War Horse
War Horse is about the story of a young boy named Albert and his horse, Joey. The story is during the start of World War 1 where Albert and Joey get separated. Joey is sent to France to become part of France’s cavalry. Years later, when Albert has grown up, he is determined to find and get Joey back no matter what it takes. Albert travels to a war torn France to seek and find his horse so that they can be united again.
War Horse is one of the shows that is currently shown in Broadway where you will be pulled in by the drama as Albert tries everything to get Joey back. You will witness heartbreaking episodes where you feel the emotions of each and every character as they face the hardships of war. You’ll witness how Albert and Joey are truly connected with each other and it will leave very few dry-eyed. This is a Broadway drama that you should not miss! Amazing puppetry is also used in this show. Be prepared to be amazed on how lifelike the horses will seem. The professional puppeteers will make the horses seem real and alive. The horse puppets are even durable enough to be ridden by actors.
War Horse is a must see show for all drama lovers who wants to experience something different. This show is truly one of a kind. Although the story is based on a children’s book, children are not recommended to watch this show as War Horse will show death and suffering. It is rated PG.
